Frequently Asked Questions

  • What file types can I upload to CrateSpace?

CrateSpace currently supports valid RO-Crate ZIP files containing your research crates. These ZIP files can contain any type of research data.

  • How are organisations determined?

Organisations are determined based on the domain of your email address (e.g., @unsw.edu.au would be assigned to UNSW). If your organisation doesn't exist in our system, it will be created automatically.

  • What are the different user roles?

    CrateSpace has three user roles:

    • USER: Can view crates for their own organisation
    • CONTRIBUTOR: Can upload and view crates for their own organisation
    • ADMIN: Can view all crates in their organisation and manage users
  • Is there a size limit for uploads?

Yes, the current size limit for individual file uploads is 2GB. If you need to upload larger files, please request a Secure Share Link.
